We're not gonna take it!

I'll be posting about our visit to the police station later this week, but I just have to share a funny little story from this morning that just about made my day!

We started off our morning with our daily calendar activities and some work on the computer as a group. We returned a few emails and got to work. I was working on TouchMath with one of my students...

I wrote out the math problem 

6+2 and asked him to add.

His response?

"We're not gonna take it!"

To which I responded, "No, we ain't gonna take it!"

He looked at me pensively and was silent.

I added "We're not gonna take it..."

He said loudly, "ANYMORE!!!"

After a smile, he added 6+2.
