We are absolutely loving the Unique Learning unit on baseball (it was the free summer unit; definitely check it out!). So far we've explored how the game of baseball is played, all about the field itself, and how physics principles apply (more on that here). On Friday we took advantage of the still-warm temperatures and played some t-ball!
The kids did a great job holding the bat correctly. We practiced using the t-ball stand then moved on to pitching the ball to the kids.
I am the world's worst pitcher- every time I threw the ball I dropped down in fear that I was going to be hit.
Clearly I did not miss my calling!
Even our peers took a turn at bat!
The kids (and the adults) had such a good time batting! It was nice to put all of the concepts we've been learning
about into practical application.
I definitely think we'll be figuring out an excuse to do this again soon!
