Disability Awareness Month - Stickered out!

Please excuse my lack of posts for the past few days; I've been MAJORLY sidelined by the nasty flu that is going around my classroom. Thankfully my staff, students and I seem to mostly be on the upswing this week!

On Friday, March 8, teachers at my school and administrative/support staff at our district's central office wore jeans (this is a BIG deal!) and Disability Awareness Month stickers in support of the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities initiative taking place this month that strives for community awareness and acceptance of issues facing people with disabilities around the state.

What a GREAT event! So many staff members participated; it was AWESOME! Check out some of our pictures below and pardon the blur from my assistant's cell phone camera ;)
Major blur, but it was too sweet
a picture to not post!
 Our FABULOUS cafeteria ladies!
They take such good care of us!
This is one of our wonderful secretaries-
she's always super supportive of our program!
Some of our 7th grade teachers-
we couldn't have asked for a better team!
Our SUPER OT, to whom you've already been introduced!
 Members of our Wellness team,
and one of our assistant principals proudly displaying their stickers.
More of our awesome teachers
showing their support!
Some love from Central Office :)

As you can see, there was A LOT of support for Disability Awareness Month floating around our district on Friday. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who participated!
