Getting down to business!

We're beginning to settle into our school routine- we have four new sixth graders coming to us this year from different classrooms around our special education cooperative, so this is definitely an adjustment period as we get to know each other and the classroom expectations.  We have a great little class- so far we've experienced far more laughter than tears! I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek into our day!

Here's one of my wonderful eighth graders who has been with me since fifth grade (if I could figure out a way to keep him forever, I would!). He's working hard with a peer and showing our new kiddos how it's done!
Here's one of my sweet new students. He LOVES his schoolwork (true story!)!
Below is another lovely peer, helping one of my new kiddos with his academic work. The goal during this time of the morning is for each student to complete six independent work boxes (more on this later, I promise!). For now, we're walking everyone through the steps!
After a busy morning, we chowed down in the cafeteria! The kids have impressed me with their awesome lunch line skills.
And it certainly doesn't hurt to have the best cafeteria staff EVER (this is Ms. K.
Have a good rest of your week!
